AeroMobil UK premiere at Goodwood Festival of Speed

AeroMobil attends Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019 for the first time as a part of Future Lab pavilion

AeroMobil, one of the leading start-ups developing flying cars and personal aerial transportation technology platforms will exhibit the AeroMobil 4.0 vehicle in the FUTURE LAB pavilion at world renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019 from the 4th to the 7thJuly.  This represents another significant milestone in the history of AeroMobil and provides further opportunity to showcase our innovative technology and modular-platform approach to personal air mobility.

”The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an incredible event, celebrated across the globe for its unique approach to showcasing the best of motorsport and automotive technology past, present and future. At AeroMobil we are honoured to have been invited by the Duke of Richmond and Gordon, and his organising team, to participate in the Future Lab.  Our presence will allow AeroMobil to present the vehicle to customers and meet with interested investors and technology partners who want to experience the vehicle and hear about our approach to develop it as a platform for future mobility with a range of technologies for personal aerial vehicles including VTOL models.“ – says Patrick Hessel, Chairman of AeroMobil

To date, AeroMobil has showcased short take-off and landing (STOL) and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles, both with unique FlyDrive capabilities and developed using AeroMobil’s modular platform and suite of technologies. It is also one of the first flying car companies to submit an application to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for a Type Certificate for its AeroMobil 4.0 STOL flying vehicle. The AeroMobil team is building the first experimental prototype which will be flight tested this year as a part of its development programme.

AeroMobil has a clear vision to become a leading global player in the development and deployment of personal aerial vehicles for inter-city and intra-urban air mobility. This is what it calls 3D Mobility, envisaging a world where travellers have a seamless, transition from road to air so they can travel in comfort while dramatically reducing journey times and the environmental impact. AeroMobil has developed a unique suite of proprietary eVTOL capabilities, technologies and systems as part of its modular platform. Given its extensive experience to date, AeroMobil is strongly positioned to identify new opportunities across the value chain, including the operational delivery of air taxi services, to enable the business to fulfil its ambition to become the first certified commercially available flying car in history.

Since it first began work on its prototype in 2013 AeroMobil has adopted an iterative approach to the introduction of flying car technologies for urban air mobility.  The strategic focus is to build a sustainable business that capitalises on the market opportunity for flying cars while respecting technology readiness, the regulatory environment, current infrastructure and the commercial landscape. The AeroMobil 4.0 STOL provides the business with a strong first-mover advantage. Positioned as a ‘super-car with super-power’ the 4.0 enables AeroMobil to gather invaluable data to improve learning about the customer, vehicle and operation while addressing an existing market for super-cars and light aircraft. AeroMobil believes this is necessary to support the introduction of flying cars since eVTOL still requires significant development in technology, infrastructure and regulatory environments in order to be commercially viable and successful.

The AeroMobil 4.0 is available to pre-order via the AeroMobil website at www.aeromobil.com/depositor by direct contact with an AeroMobil representative in the Future Lab.

About AeroMobil

AeroMobil is a leader in mobility in three dimensions with a vision to liberate personal mobility from the ground and into the skies. AeroMobil develops the most flexible, capable and efficient range of personal aerial vehicles (PAVs) designed for door to door travel in intra and inter-urban environments, reducing congestion and emissions while increasing proximity and convenience for citizens, cities and society.

AeroMobil is pioneering the development and commercialisation of flying cars, developing cutting edge technology to produce a range of vehicles for short take-off and landing (STOL) and vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). This includes electric propulsion systems, battery technology and control systems for piloted and autonomous flight for transportation on the ground and in the air to support short and longe range personal air travel with eVTOLs.

AeroMobil adopts an iterative approach to the development of personal air transportation in line with technology readiness, legislation and market acceptance. We believe the future offers unbounded opportunity for air mobility at scale but requires a pragmatic and considered approach to ensure technology and solutions implemented are safe, reliable and effective through partnership and collaboration with regulators, governments and cities to realise the benefits of all.

The first flying car from AeroMobil provides increased flexibility and versatility for the customer as it combines the best of automotive and aerospace technology into one vehicle while respecting the limits of current technology and the regulatory environment. It is the first step in our journey towards air Mobility-as-a-service (aMaaS) which will make personal transportation vastly more efficient and environmentally friendly by allowing significantly faster door-to-door travel over short and medium distances, and in areas with limited road or public transport infrastructure.
